What to Include in Your Support Request

To help me assist you more quickly, please provide:

  1. Your environment:

    • Operating system (Windows 10/11, Linux, macOS)
    • Knowii Voice AI version
    • AI model being used
  2. The problem:

    • What you were trying to do
    • What happened instead
    • Steps to reproduce the issue
  3. Screenshots or logs (if applicable):

    • Error messages
    • Settings screenshots
    • Log files (see below for how to find them)

Copy Logs From Inside the App (Easiest)

The quickest way to share logs is right from the app, without hunting for files on your disk:

  1. Open Settings → Advanced.
  2. Scroll down to the Application Logs section.
  3. Click Refresh to load the most recent activity, then Copy to put the logs on your clipboard.
  4. Paste them into your email or GitHub issue.

This shows the latest log lines, which is usually all that's needed to diagnose a problem.

How to Find Log Files

If you'd rather attach the full log files (or need older logs), they live on disk too.

Log files contain detailed information about what the application is doing and can be crucial for diagnosing issues.

Log files live in a logs folder inside the application data folder:

Windows:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\knowii-voice-ai\logs\

Replace <username> with your Windows username. Quick Access: Press Win + R, type %APPDATA%\knowii-voice-ai\logs, and press Enter.

macOS:

~/Library/Application Support/knowii-voice-ai/logs/

Quick Access: In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder… and paste the path above.

Linux:

~/.local/share/knowii-voice-ai/logs/

Tip: On any platform you can open the application data folder directly from Settings → About → App Data Folder → Open Folder, then go into the logs subfolder.

Look for files with the .log extension in the logs folder. When reporting an issue, please include the most recent log files.

Note: See the Application Data page for more details about where Knowii Voice AI stores all its data.
